Uric
acid is a waste product in our blood. Just like hemoglobin, all components of
blood have specific levels in our body, uric acid also has specific levels.
When
the kidneys cannot remove uric acid properly through urine, uric acid
accumulates in the blood. If the body produces more uric acid than the
specified level and cannot be excreted properly, the level of uric acid in the
blood increases.
Our
blood uric acid levels are 3.5 to 7.2 milligrams per deciliter (ml/dL). If it
is more than 7.2, we assume that uric acid has increased. Increased uric acid
in the blood creates various complications.
Reason:
1)
Suffering from uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure for a long time
2)
Increased purine levels in the blood
3)
Control sudden overeating
4)
Side effects of some medicines
5)
Family history
6)
Drinking very little water
7)
Having fatty liver problem.
Apart
from this, uric acid can increase in the body of cancer patients.
Symptoms:
1)
No symptoms are detected in the initial stage. However, if the level of uric
acid is high, the bones can accumulate in various joints. Then there may be
pain, intense redness, and swelling around the joint.
2)
It is difficult to walk.
3)
There is an increase in temperature around the joint and fever.
Awareness:
1)
Avoid junk food, excessive fast food, seafood, alcohol, alcoholic beverages.
2)
If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, any hormonal
disease, you must consult the concerned doctor.
3)
If uric acid increases, tomato juice, cauliflower, mushrooms, seaweed, sea
fish, red meat and grilled meat should be avoided.
4)
One and a half to two liters of water should be consumed regularly excluding
soft drinks, but people suffering from kidney disease should not drink water
without consulting a doctor.
5)
Weight should be controlled according to age and height. However, sudden
excessive food control is inappropriate. If a relative has a history of gout or
uric acid, you need to pay close attention to your diet and lifestyle.
6)
If the muscles or any joint is red and swollen or feels stiff, it should not be
ignored.
7)
Obese patients should keep their weight under control by understanding their
own height, weight and physical ability. Instead of sudden excessive food
control, the food should be controlled gradually.
