An Australian doctor has been cured of cancer by treating with his own invented method. Professor Richard Scholar, suffering from brain cancer, was treated with the method he invented.
He himself said that
even after a year of treatment, he is still cancer free. That is, the deadly
disease did not take up residence in his body again.
Last year, Richard Solarize
fell ill after visiting Poland. After that, he was diagnosed with grade-4 cancer.
This cancer is known as glioblastoma. It is so deadly that a person who gets
this cancer can live for a year or 12 months if it is very advanced.
This 57-year-old doctor
researches melanoma. It is a cancer that starts in the skin of the body. By researching
this, he discovered a new method of cancer treatment.
Yesterday, Monday (May
13), Richard Solarize made a post on social media X. There he said that the
latest MRI showed that the cancer has not returned to his brain.
"I am very
happy," he said. Professor Solarize worked on this together with his
colleague Professor Georgina Long. They are both co-directors of the Melanoma
Institute of Australia.
They used innovative
methods based on immunotherapy. This teaches the body's immune system to attack
cancer cells.
Studies on melanoma
have shown that immunotherapy works best when different drugs are applied to
cancer cells before surgery.
Professor Solarize is
the only brain cancer patient in the world to undergo immunotherapy treatment
before surgery.
He told the British
media BBC, "I have been feeling pretty good for a long time. It cannot be
said that my cancer is cured. But good to know the cancer hasn't come back.
Which means I can spend more time with my wife Katy and my three beautiful
children.”
Around 300,000 people worldwide are estimated
to be affected by glioblastoma. Professor Scholar's approach is expected to
extend his life and open new doors for treatment.
