Diabetes is
now one of the biggest health risks. If diabetes is not under control, it is
difficult to cure any other disease. That is why I want diabetes testing
equipment at hand. Until now, digital kits have been the biggest hope.
The US health organization Mayo Clinic is going
to make the diabetes
By listening to the recorded voices of
patients, it can tell who has diabetes and who does not. It can even give an
idea of the level of diabetes. A group of researchers have conducted field
research to test how successful this newly developed AI app is. The study was
conducted on 267 patients in India under the auspices of the Mayo Clinic.
Their voices were recorded
using a smartphone app. For this, a specific sentence was recorded six times a
day, for a total of two weeks. This resulted in 18,464 records. By analyzing
those records, the app distinguished whether the owner of the voice had type 2
diabetes or not. It was found that it could very successfully identify diabetic
and non-diabetic voices.
The app is still in its
early stages. However, experts believe that if it is fully successful, it will
make diabetes diagnosis and control easier. Source: Deutsche Welle
diagnosis process easier. For this, they are
turning to AI technology, which can tell whether the owner of the voice has
diabetes or not by listening to it. Mayo Clinic has developed an AI app for
this. This app can distinguish the voices of diabetic and non-diabetic patients.
