Avoid 5 types of foods if you sweat excessively in summer

Many people sweat excessively in summer. There may be some reasons behind this. There are some foods that can cause excessive sweating. So, you should eat those foods wisely during summer. Otherwise, you will not only suffer from discomfort due to excessive sweating, but you may also be afraid of getting sick.

Find out which foods can increase your sweating:

1. Coffee: A cup of coffee is a staple to start the day for many. As nutritionist Lavneet Batra advises, moderation is key when it comes to this caffeinated pleasure. Caffeine can rev up your adrenal glands. It can also increase sweating in your palms, feet, and underarms. While coffee may be a must for some, it's wise to sip on your cup of coffee in moderation to avoid excessive sweating.

2. Spicy food: Eating a very spicy food and suddenly your forehead and upper lip start sweating, doesn't the scene sound familiar? Experts say that spicy food can increase your body temperature. According to nutritionist Lavneet Batra, like any other type of heat, spicy food also triggers a similar reaction from the skin, which results in sweating.

3. Foods High in Sugar: Eating sweets may be tempting, but be careful! It can cause you to sweat more than usual. According to WebMD, eating foods high in sugar causes your body to produce excess insulin. This sudden increase in insulin can cause your blood sugar levels to drop, which is known as hypoglycemia.

4. Alcohol: Did you know that alcohol can also contribute to your sweat production? As mentioned in Healthline, excessive alcohol consumption dilates peripheral blood vessels, which causes your body to sweat. Therefore, alcohol should be avoided.

5. Soft drinks: In this heat, many people feel calm by sipping on cold soft drinks. Although it may quench your thirst, it is temporary. Soft drinks are never good for the body. Due to the excess sugar, it can cause fluctuations in blood sugar levels, which leads to sweating.
