Once it was thought that this was only a
disease of girls. In fact, it is not so, nowadays even young and old boys are
suffering from this urine infection. The human body has two kidneys, two
ureters, a urinary bladder and a urethra. If an infection occurs in any part of
this urinary system, then we call it urinary tract infection or urine infection
(UTI).
This infection can sometimes affect all
organs together or separately. The disease is so common that one in five women
suffers from urinary tract infections. About eight to ten million patients seek
medical attention every year due to this disease.
Symptoms:
Burning sensation during
urination, foul-smelling urine, dark yellow and red urine, irregular urination
or dribbling at the end, frequent urination, pain in the lower abdomen or lower
back, fever all the time or fever with chills in the evening, nausea or
vomiting, back pain, frequent urination at night even while sleeping.
Reasons:
Drinking less water, being
dehydrated, holding urine for a long time, not cleaning properly after
urination and defecation, causing bacterial infections, wearing tight
underwear, not getting enough fiber in the diet, and not cleaning clothes
properly can disrupt this system.
Things to do:
Drink more water, fruits, and
fruit juices. Include enough fiber in your diet, which will help retain water
in the body.
Never hold your urine for too
long.
Be it a boy or a girl.
Especially for girls, encourage them to go to the bathroom even during school
hours.
– Those who are prone to
frequent urinary tract infections should drink at least three liters of water
daily. This should include lemon water, coconut water or glucose water.
– Include vitamin C foods in
your diet every day. For example, lemon water, orange or lime juice. Because
vitamin C destroys bacteria, keeps the urinary tract healthy and also reduces
the burning sensation of urination.
– And those who are prone to
frequent urinary tract infections should avoid eating foods rich in high oxalic
acid, such as kamaranga.
– Frequent urine infections
are detrimental to the healthy functioning of the kidneys. So drink enough
water and stay healthy.
