Many parents are frustrated by failing to reduce the child's restlessness. Not sitting still, not paying attention to any task, getting complaints from school, breaking things when visiting someone's house or constantly getting minor injuries are the characteristics of a hyperactive child.

In medical terms, this behavioral problem is called 'ADHD' i.e. 'Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder'. It is characterized by inattention, excessive mischievousness and restlessness. These children can't keep patience for anything. He gets busy with one task without finishing it.

Cause: Genetic predisposition is blamed for the problem. Sometimes various 'neurochemical factors' have been identified as crisis triggers. The prevalence of ADHD is approximately four to six times higher in boys than in girls. In more than half of the cases, the problem becomes apparent before the child is four years old.

Treatment: Establish a daily routine for the child, which he will follow spontaneously. Encourage or reward him whenever he follows the routine.

Care should be taken while creating the routine, so that it is well understood. Even if you force the child to follow the routine, you must maintain affection towards him. It is not right at all to push him from time to time or to make him tired. After playing, allow time to rest between tasks. Especially the time before going to sleep should be arranged so that he spends undisturbed.

Care must be taken when traveling long distances in a car with a child with severe right foot. Expensive fragile and dangerous household items should be kept out of reach of children. Avoid watching violent scenes or exciting games on television. Accomplishing good results in studies should be praised and encouraged through rewards. Behavior therapy is the mainstay of pediatric treatment when excessive problems occur. The doctor can consult with the child's parents, school teachers in treating with medicine.
